Mary Barra has been the Chief Executive Officer of General Motors since 2014, and the first female CEO of a major global automaker. At just 18 years of age, Barra started at GM as a co-op student and subsequently held a variety of engineering and administrative positions. Barra has been listed as one of the world’s most powerful women by Forbes and Fortune.
Barra is focused on fulfilling consumer transportation demands and utilizing rapid advances in technology. GM has recently partnered with ride sharing company LYFT, and will be testing a fleet of self-driving cars by the end of 2016.
